It’s Organic September, in case you didn’t know so what better time to sample the delights of organic produce.

Take your pick. If not vegetables and meat, why not try some organic make-up? There are so many products to choose from.

This means not only reducing our own exposure to harmful chemicals, it also protects wildlife too.  To be certain your food meets the required standard, always loo for the soil association logo.

Here are some good reasons to convince yourself and friends to go organic for a month.

Few people know this but when pesticides are not used on plants, powerful antioxidants are produced which protect it. In fact there are up to 70% more antioxidants in organic food.  These antioxidants are essention for protecting us against two of our biggest killers- cancer and heart disease.

2- It contains a greater percentage of healthy fats

Over 50% more omega-3 fatty acids to be exact. These are great for reducing cardiovascular disease and for helping with the immune system.
